What's more important is to look at the first sector of the boot partition volume. Note that I said that the error means that a boot sector was found at sector 0, so you are not showing the important sector - we already knew that sector 0 was good.
The fictional geometry is something that VirtualBox will write into the header at some point after a successful boot. Both the 'good' and 'bad' disks are larger than 8GB, so CHS addressing SHOULDN'T apply (see note below), only LBA addressing.
I don't believe the disk geometry is significant.
